The plans and premiums are no different using an agent.

Online quotes are great for a starting point, but you do NOT want to buy health insurance online. You need to get it from a local agent, so you KNOW you’re not getting scammed – and so that if you have a problem, there’s a real live person in a real live office you can talk to – you’re not stuck on hold for 3 hours, or can’t get through to a disconnected number.

It doesn’t cost any more to use an agent, and you get a REAL product. PLUS, they’ll help you compare costs and plans.

With health insurance, there isn’t any super low whoopie zing product out there – you literally get what you pay for. If it’s under market cost, it’s either a scam, a forged policy, or not insurance (unregulated).

So buy local.
