they might ask if you are a good student, if you are school…you get a discount. Also, some places offer discounts for driving schools or watching safety videos…

They will ask how much coverage you want…

    good luck

Besides your birthdate (it will determine if they want to overcharge you,) airbags, will you be driving to work/school, how many miles to work/school, security, anti-lock braking system…

If you are not going to drive it to work/school then tell them you only drive for personal use. You get a discount for this.

First of all, if you’re not already on the policy, they won’t be allowing you to make any sort of changes or get quotes or ANYTHING. That’s insurance law, m’friend. Your parents will have to do that.

As for what -they- will need when it’s time to do the adding:

    Name
    Date of Birth
    Lics #
    Social Sec #
    Years Driving
Education Info (in case you’re eligible for Good Student Discounts, which means you have to be enrolled at least part time & have a 3.0 GPA)
Info on Defensive Driving or Drivers Ed if you’ve taken them and that company gives discounts

That’s it when it comes to you!

    For the vehicle:
    VIN
    Info about airbags
    Info about antitheft
Info on yes/no to antilock brakes (in some states)
Vehicle use (to/from work, school, etc)

That’s all they’ll need to add you!

Since it’s your parents policy, they need to be the ones who call, not you.
